Ian Heinzinger

"It is not from a single moment but through a series of events that significance is born."
Ian Heinzinger writes supernatural horror and science fiction for screen, prose, and games. His vivid imagination revitalizes familiar genre elements in fresh ways with a clever and sometimes twisted sense of humor.
Some of his biggest inspirations are Douglas Adams, Eastman and Laird, Spike Lee, David Lynch, and Takashi Miike.
The Dark Places is one of Ian’s recent horror screenplays. Our protagonist is Elle, a young woman with a traumatic past that is blind in one eye. We regain consciousness with Elle to discover she has been abducted and there is a pair of eyeballs floating in a jar on a shelf. It's pretty standard horror stuff until the eyes talk and become a supporting character.
Ian is currently in preproduction on Stone and Stars, an animated web series that follows the events of his short film, A Neanderthal and a Homosapien Walk Into a Cave.
Ian earned an MFA in creative writing from Full Sail University.
